Personal Injury/Defense Litigation Paralegal
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and summarize medical records: Compile expert packages and obtains medical records, identify fact witnesses, obtain medical research and investigation, obtain and communicate with expert witnesses to secure expert opinions and assemble documents for expert review.
  • Trial Preparation:  Prepare, maintain and update damage or medical summaries and motions.  Prepare and send trial notices, prepare witness list, status updates and exhibits. Files Motions, discoveries and prepare discovery motions.
  • Schedule I.M.Es and prep medical packages for doctors.
  • Provide Administrative Support:  Answers client questions and keeps client updated on progress of case.  Communicates effectively with clients and with others in the Firm.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:         

  • Minimum 3 + Years’ experience paralegal experience, preferably in PI/Def Lit 
  • Must be proficient in all MSO products – PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience working with case management systems

Great opportunity to work with a busy, high quality Burlington County Law Firm looking for an experienced LEGAL BOOKKEEPER.  Our firm has 12 attorneys and 17 support staff in three offices, Moorestown, Maple Shade and Browns Mills.  This positon will be responsible for billing; daily, monthly and annual reports; daily bookkeeping duties including recording income, payable and cash receipts, writing checks; opening New File Memos and managing client data;  payroll; budget management; ordering supplies, managing employee records; supporting three offices for technical support related to PracticeMaster; interfacing with vendors as requested.  Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include: Personnel Management, Office Systems, Insurance, Payroll Oversight, Budget Compliance, Process Improvements, Practice/Client Reporting and Analysis and Organizing and Attending Shareholder Meetings.

Foreclosure Department – Complaint Processor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares documents:  Drafts and files PA foreclosure complaints.
  • Customer Service:  Dedication to the highest level of client satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:     

  • Minimum 2 + Years’ PA foreclosure complaint / drafting experience.
  • Must be proficient in all MSO products – PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with default platforms like BKFS and LPS.

School Law_ Legal Assistant
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares Documents:  Using MSWord and the firm’s case management system, composes and processes correspondence (i.e. routine cover letters and documents, memoranda, complex legal documents; lengthy and complex document preparation with Word Processing Center as needed. 
  • Prepares document for filing (e-filing).
  • Prepares Trial Binders:  Prepares Witness and Exhibit List for cases proceeding to a hearing. 
  • Summits Risk Files:  Point-Staff person for all Summit Risk files.  Ensuring all Summit Risk files are up to date, 90 day litigation forms and cost estimate forms are submitted timely. 
  • Coordinates Financial Functions:  Prepares daily time entries for assigned attorneys as needed and submits in a timely manner.  Prepares expense reimbursement and disbursement requests.
  • Provides Administrative Support:  Prepares and processes new matter form.  Receives and screens phone calls and takes messages as required.  Schedules meetings and arranges for conference rooms and meals
  • PowerPoint Presentations:  Creates, edits, copies power point presentations in advance of various speaking engagements attorneys may have.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:         

  • Minimum 5 + Years’ experience as a legal assistant
  • Must be proficient in all MSO products – PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Must be able to take dictation, work with case management systems and skilled with E-filing
