CONNOR, WEBER & OBERLIES, a growing regional insurance defense litigation practice, is seeking to add a litigation associate for its insurance defense and coverage departments. We have an immediate case load opportunity to take on. A partial remote work situation will be considered. We are looking for an Associate in our Moorestown, NJ office. Salary commensurate with experience in defending a variety of commercial and personal general liability claims, including premises liability, products liability, auto and construction related claims.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Handle pleadings and motion practice

Conduct discovery

Perform legal research and analysis

Meet with clients, prepare witnesses, and conduct depositions

Appear in court for conferences and motions

Prepare for and attend hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trial

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 7 years of deposition, courtroom and case handling experience

Superior and written oral communication skills required

Proven background and competence in litigation matters, including case analysis and evaluation

Proficiency with litigation guidelines

Trial experiences helpful

The New Jersey Office of the Public Defender – Burlington Trial Region is seeking designated Pool Counsel to represent conflict cases in Burlington County Superior Court – Criminal Division. Needs exist in both Adult and Youth Defense. The current rate is $100 per hour. There may also be Per Diem Attorney openings.  Please contact Deputy Public Defender John J. Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required. The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of transactional and litigation matters in the areas of labor and employment, special education, Section 504, student discipline, student records, Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, School Ethics Act, student residency, civil rights, tenure, negotiations, Open Public Records Act, and Open Public Meetings Act. While hybrid work is available, the candidate must be willing to attend occasional in-person evening meetings.
